In Uzbekistan, the most dominant and ubiquitous app is undoubtedly Telegram. It's much more than a messaging app; it's a 'super-app' used for reading news, online shopping, business communication, and sharing media. Following that, Instagram is extremely popular for social networking and e-commerce, and payment gateways like Click and Payme are on almost every smartphone.
As for the least popular, I would say apps like Twitter, now called X, and Snapchat have gained much less traction compared to other parts of the world. While some people use them, they are not part of the mainstream digital landscape and cater to a more niche audience. Many people prefer the all-in-one functionality of Telegram and the visual nature of Instagram.
Ride-hailing apps like Yandex Go are also among the most popular due to their convenience in cities like Tashkent. On the other hand, certain specialized international apps, for example, specific Western news applications or niche social networks, would be considered among the least popular as most people consume content through local channels on Telegram.
