Do you mind if others borrow money from you? (added on 13 October 2025)
Vocabulary hozircha yo‘q.
  • I don’t really mind helping someone if I trust them and it’s not a big amount (sometimes people just need a bit of support)
  • I always follow one rule - I never lend more than I’m ready to lose or give away (when you lend money, you have to be okay with not getting it back; it’s not that people are bad, it’s just that things happen… they forget, or life gets in the way)
  • if it’s a close friend or family member, I try to help, but I don’t want money to ruin the relationship
  • for bigger amounts, I usually say no (it’s safer to keep money and friendship separate)
  • sometimes I’d rather just pay for something small instead of lending cash, it avoids awkward situations later
  • I think it’s fine to say no politely (you can care about someone without giving them money)
I don’t really mind if someone borrows money from me, as long as it’s not a big amount. I always follow one simple rule. I never lend more than I’m ready to lose or give away. When you lend money, you should already accept that you might not get it back. Not because the person is dishonest, but because life just happens… people forget or run into problems. If it’s a friend or someone close, I’ll usually help, but I prefer to keep it small. I’d rather give a bit and stay on good terms than lend a lot and risk ruining the relationship. So yeah, I don’t mind helping, but I’m careful about how much.
