I wanna tell you about my friend who’s actually really good at singing. She works as an accountant in a small company, but honestly, I think she was born to be on stage. The only reason she didn’t pursue singing professionally is because of her parents. They thought singing could only be a hobby, not something seriousб and pushed her to get a ‘normal’ career. So now she crunches numbers by day and sings whenever she can.

What’s funny is that she doesn’t just have a nice voice. She can literally sing anything. She nails pop songs, ballads, even old classics. In karaoke bars people stop what they’re doing and turn their heads, because she actually sounds better than the original sometimes. And she does it so effortlessly, without even warming up or anything.

Whenever we travel together, she’s the one who grabs the mic at karaoke nights, and strangers often come up to compliment her. What’s more, she writes little songs of her own, just for fun. They’re not super polished, but you can hear the talent and creativity. For me, that’s true creativity… being able to take something you love and make it a part of your everyday life, no matter what.
