- • an electricity pole
- • the power was off (or out) for X hours
- • the electricity came back
- • When and where did it happen?
- • How long did it last?
- • What did you do during this time?
- • How did you feel about it?
And then suddenly… boom… the power went out. At first I thought it was just a short blackout, but then I realized it was serious. Later we found out that a tree had fallen and taken down some power lines. That explained everything.
So I was sitting in the dark, with a dead laptop and no internet. I couldn’t do much, so I just lit some candles, scrolled a bit on my phone until the battery got low, and basically tried to relax. The storm stopped after a while, and luckily the emergency services fixed the issue quite fast. But the electricity was gone for about four hours.
By the time the power came back, I was too tired to continue working. So the next morning I had to wake up really early to finish everything. Honestly, it was a bit stressful in the moment, but looking back, it was also kind of a forced break, which was good for me.
