once I spilled water on my laptop and it just refused to turn back on. It all happened so quickly… one second I was working, the next I saw water spreading all over the keyboard. For a moment I honestly thought I might get electrocuted.

So I called a tech-savvy friend and asked him for advice. He told me not to shake it, but to open it up as wide as possible, flip it keyboard-down on a towel, and just leave it there for a few hours so the water could drip out. It sounded weird, but I followed his instructions exactly.
