I decided to go because I’d always wanted to hear him live, and it felt like one of those events you’re supposed to experience at least once. I bought the tickets in advance and even paid extra for what I thought were really good seats. At the time, I genuinely believed that the more expensive the tickets were, the better the sound and the view would be. I also talked a few of my friends into coming with me, because I thought it would be a great night out.
But what I thought would be an amazing experience turned out to be a complete disappointment. First of all, the artist showed up almost two hours late. Because of that, people weren’t allowed into the stadium, and a huge crowd (literally tens of thousands of people) built up at the entrance. We were all just standing there for hours. By the time we finally got inside, I could barely stand on my feet. Everyone was tired, annoyed, and clearly losing patience.
At that point, we told ourselves that once the concert started, we’d forget about all of that and just enjoy the music. But that didn’t happen. Either there were serious sound issues, or the performer simply doesn’t sing that well live… I still haven’t figured that out. The sound was terrible, and it honestly ruined the whole experience. On top of that, even though the tickets were expensive, the view from our seats was surprisingly bad. We could hardly see the stage properly, which was really frustrating. In the end, everyone around us looked disappointed, and my friends were clearly not impressed either.
