A friend of mine recently got into something new and learned it completely on his own. At some point, these AI videos suddenly became a thing online. You know, those short clips where cats do human things, animals suddenly turn into people, or characters change outfits and styles in a second. Everyone was sharing them, and he kept seeing them all over social media. He was like, okay, I wanna be able to do that too.

First, he checked out a couple of online courses, but honestly, they were pretty expensive and felt like overkill for something that was basically just a hobby. So he decided not to spend the money and just try to figure it out on his own.

What he thought would be super easy turned out to be way harder than expected. In the beginning, his videos looked awful. Faces were glitchy, movements were weird, and nothing came out the way he imagined. But he didn’t give up. He kept messing around with different tools, watching short tutorials, and learning through trial and error. And you know, the more he practised, the better his videos got. After a while, he started making clips that actually looked pretty cool, and some of them even got good reactions online, which really motivated him.

Of course, if he’d had a teacher, it probably would’ve been faster. But since this was just something he was doing for fun, learning on his own worked better for him.
