What are the advantages and disadvantages of modern toys? (added on 6 October 2025)
Vocabulary hozircha yo‘q.
  • advantages:
  • modern toys often include technology, which can make learning more fun, for example, educational apps, robots, or puzzles that teach problem-solving
  • they help kids develop creativity (for example, building sets, interactive games, and drawing tablets let children imagine and create things on their own)
  • some toys improve coordination and fine motor skills, like LEGO or toys where kids have to build or move small parts
  • many toys today are designed to be educational, so kids can learn languages, math, or science while playing
  • modern toys often make it easier for kids to play with friends, whether it’s in person or online
  • a lot of toys today are interactive, so kids can share ideas and have fun together, not just play alone
  • disadvantages:
  • many toys now depend on screens, so kids spend less time moving or playing outside
  • some toys make children impatient (they expect fast results and lose interest quickly if it’s not entertaining enough)
  • technology-based toys can be expensive, so not every family can afford them
  • too many toys can make kids distracted (they play for a few minutes and then switch to something new)
  • some modern toys don’t really teach anything and are just made to keep kids quiet for a while
Well, when it comes to modern toys, there are definitely some good things about them, but also a few problems. On the positive side, many of them are really creative and can actually help kids learn new things. For example, there are building sets, robot kits, and drawing tablets that make learning fun. Kids don’t even notice they’re studying. They just play and at the same time develop problem-solving or creative thinking. Some toys even let them play together online or build things as a team, which is great for learning how to cooperate with others. But on the flip side, a lot of toys today depend on screens. Kids get used to quick results… press a button and something happens right away… so they lose patience with simpler games or with real-life play. Plus, when everything happens on a screen, they spend less time outside, moving around or using their imagination. I think that’s the main issue: toys have become smarter, but kids are not always using them in the smartest way.
