  • the environment (natural places are green and full of wildlife, while cities are full of buildings and traffic)

  • the safety (natural places are safe from crime, while cities sometimes feel dangerous)
  • the health effect (natural places are better for health, while cities can cause stress or illness)
You know, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about the differences is the atmosphere. Natural places are peaceful and quiet, while cities are usually noisy and crowded. When you’re in nature, you hear birds or the wind, but in a city it’s cars, buses, and people rushing everywhere. Another huge difference is the air. Natural areas are clean and fresh, but cities can be very polluted. That’s why many people feel healthier after just a weekend in the countryside. And of course, the pace of life is not the same. Life in nature feels slow and relaxing, but in a city it’s fast, sometimes even stressful. I think that’s why people often say they need a break away from the city.
