Oh yeah, I think adults can have lots of imagination as they use imagination to solve real-life problems, not to play games. For example, when something goes wrong at work or in the family, adults often imagine different outcomes and possible solutions. Also, many adults work in creative jobs where imagination is part of their daily routine, like marketing, design, or even teaching. They don’t just follow instructions… they constantly come up with new ideas. I’d also say that life experience actually makes their imagination deeper and more realistic. Adults don’t imagine random things… they imagine situations that could really happen. On top of that, adults often imagine future scenarios when they plan their careers or families, which is also a form of imagination. So overall, imagination doesn’t disappear with age… it just changes its form.
No, I don’t think most adults have lots of imagination, mainly because they are too focused on responsibilities and daily routines. Work, bills, and family duties take up most of their mental energy. As a result, stress and constant pressure leave little space for creativity. Many adults are just trying to get through the day rather than imagine new ideas. I also think that many adults stop using imagination because they don’t see it as practical. They prefer clear instructions and safe decisions. On top of that, they are trained to think logically rather than creatively, especially at work. And nowadays, technology does a lot of imagining for them instead, so they don’t really need to use their own imagination.
